Prema Powerteam is set to be back to the Eurocup F.Renault 2.0 championship with a 3-car line-up. The Italian-based squad will line-up for the series' second round of the season and while Bruno Bonifacio and Luca Ghiotto are set to return after their debut at Motorland Aragon in Alcaniz, they will be joined by Antonio Fuoco. The Ferrari Driver Academy man, who's set to make his debut in the European competition, is currently leading the F.Renault 2.0 ALPS standings.
This weekend, Prema is in search for a Eurocup rebound after their tough weekend in Spain in order to repeat the results already recorded in the ALPS championship. The team will also be on-track for the FIA F.3 European Championship at Spielberg, Austria, in a demanding double effort.
Team Manager Grazia Troncon explained: "Bonifacio and Ghiotto have all what it takes to compete at the highest level and we clearly saw that in the ALPS Series, when they performed well in comparison to the Eurocup runners. At Alcaniz, we suffered from the weather and the guys also had to deal with the circumstances. I look forward to see them on-track at Spa-Francorchamps.
"On the other hand, we look forward to see Fuoco on-track as he approaches his maiden outing in the series. This is set to be a tough challenge for him, considering that he only ran six open-wheel races so far, but he has been stunning in the ALPS series in terms of speed and competition so he might well be the surprise of the weekend in Belgium too."
