Prema Powerteam will be again relying on the talent of a rookie racer for the 2012 Formula 3 Euro Series. German driver Sven Mueller, born in 1992 and fresh Formula ADAC Master Runner-Up will line-up alongside Daniel Juncadella and Michael Lewis. He will be at his first international-level season after the successful national experience in the series featuring the Dallara "Formulino" racecars. His 2011 has been impressive with five wins, one pole position and 13 podium finishes. Stunning numbers that persuaded Angelo Rosin to hand him a Mercedes-Benz powered Dallara for 2012. Also thanks to his team mate's experience, he's expected to increase his experience and look forward to some good results in the championship.
Angelo Rosin - Team Principal:
"We like how new challenges taste, and it's in our DNA to give good chances to young drivers and help them to debut in the championships we're running in. Mueller has been one of the main stars of the ADAC Masters, a really demanding and hard-fought series that always provided some good talent. We do everything we can to support Sven and enable him to display his full talent in a tough environment like the F.3 Euro Series."
"The 2011 season is over and I am looking forward to the next race season in 2012. A big challenge will come, the Formula 3 Euro series. In particular I am extremely happy about the fact that Prema offers me the possibility to run for them. The whole winter I trained very hard to be able to meet the higher demands on the physical fitness in the F3. This is the only thing one can do until the tests of the F3 ES will start. Of course it will not be the easiest thing to assert one’s position in the highest F3 series worldwide, but I will do my very best to confirm the confidence that have been placed in me. I am convinced that Prema will be able to instruct a rookie perfectly to run together to the best results."
