Prema Powerteam is set to be back on-track after the 1-2 finish scored on race 3 at Le Castellet, as the Italian squad lines-up at the Hockenheim ring in Germany, for the second round of the 2011 Formula 3 Euro Series. After its lone French appearance on the last 3rd of April, the championship will be back running jointly with the DTM, which is set for its opening round of the season. Prema, managed by Angelo Rosin, is currently holding the top two spots in the Euro Series drivers' standings with Daniel Juncadella and Roberto Mehri, but will field their their two Mercedes-powered Dallara racecars with the intention to keep holding on.
"We want to keep our feet on the ground, as while we're confident in our capabilities we know how much competitive the Formula 3 Euro Series is. It takes nothing to turn from chased to chaser. We will be working like we know we can do, and we'll then see how it turns out at the end of the weekend."
"This round will also be particularly relevant because it will be the first race of the new FIA International Trophy. Alongside the other teams, we will be joined by an high-profile British outfit like Carlin. It'll be one more rival for us, and one more good reason to push hard and stay focused."
