The PREMA Powerteam Formula 4 operation never sleeps and after lining-up for two consecutive rounds of the German series, the Italian Championship is already set to go back underway at Imola. One of the most challenging venues of the whole schedule, the 4.9-kilometre circuit has a long history in highlighting young and brilliant talents.
Brazilian Gianluca Petecof is set for a pivotal weekend. Once again, he will be the championship leader and the man to beat at Imola, a track he already knows well from the previous season. For him, as well as for all teams and drivers, there will also be extra work this weekend, with four races on the schedule to make up for race 3 at Misano which was cancelled due to heavy rain.
Sitting third in the overall championship, Estonian Paul Aron experienced a consistent growth and secured is maiden win in the series at Red Bull Ring. The 15-year-old racer also set his sights on the top of the rookie ranking and will have extra motivation to do accomplish the feature in Imola.
Also coming from his first win in the German Championship is Venezuelan Alessandro Famularo, who also improved his consistency despite not having had the best luck this season. Speaking of consistency, Oliver Rasmussen delivered a great amount of points finishes and finally managed to snatch his first two podiums of the year in the German Series. The 18-year-old Dane is hoping to carry the same momentum at Imola and start a positive run.
Angelo Rosin - Team Principal
"The Formula 4 season is long and full of challenges as we saw so far. While we are still leading the series, there is a huge amount of threats so we must always stay focused. We are pleased with the potential we showed but it's time to put it all together to start the second half of the season with the right foot and carry the momentum into the final rounds."
