PREMA Racing delivered a brilliant performance to wrap up the FIA Formula 2 virtual title, as the eSport championship came to a close at Baku Street Circuit. Australian Oscar Piastri, who will make his FIA Formula 3 debut this season, put together an absolutely dominating performance from pole, winning the feature race by more than 10 seconds and leaving the lead only for the mandatory pit-stop. The 19-year-old from Melbourne was the class of the field at his very first appearance in the series.

Arthur Leclerc, who will join the Italian squad’s 2020 Formula Regional operation, posted a podium finish with a classy drive up to P3. His consistent pace throughout all events proved key for the outcome of the championship battle.

In race 2, the pair was shuffled back due to the reversed grid, and with a combative pack around them, they managed the top-10. Leclerc posted P7, again recovering from the back of the pack following to an early mishap, while Piastri posted P9.

With the virtual season now complete in the best possible, PREMA Racing cannot wait to get back on track again and looks forward to a positive preparation ahead of the 2020 opener at Red Bull Ring.

"Really fun race with a lot of action, a shame for the qualifying where I did a mistake in T1, but it was a really good recovery in the first race from Last to P3! In the second race I made a mistake in the opening lap but I recovered again from last to P7."

# 10 - Oscar Piastri

“I had a lot of fun in my first Virtual F2 race! It started perfectly with pole position and a big win in the feature race, and then the sprint race was a mess, but still a lot of fun. Now I can’t wait to get back onto a real track”
