PREMA Powerteam will be back to its 2020 Italian Formula 4 campaign this coming weekend at Imola. The Italian track, which will be back to the Formula 1 circus later this season, features a flowing, up-and-down layout, highly regarded by the drivers for the excitement it provides.
Coming from a winning start of the season in round 1 at Misano, the team is hoping to carry the momentum gained in its German F4 outing, which featured more wins and podiums. Standing second in the championship, Italian rookie Gabriele Minì (15) is determined to keep fighting for the lead only at his third outing in single-seaters.
His team-mates will be in the same situation, as PREMA Powerteam continues to rely on its all-rookie contingent. Dino Beganovic also claimed a podium finish at his debut. The 16-year-old Swede, a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, now aims to make the step up needed to fight for wins. Colombian-American Sebastian Montoya (15) has been a consistent points scorer and will make sure to gain the experience he needs to move forward. Rounding out the four-car package, 15-year-old Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto, who showed great potential and will try to put it all together in Imola.
Angelo Rosin - Team Principal
"Imola is a really challenging track but also extremely valuable in terms of making good experience. We look forward to seeing all four drivers fight at the very top of the charts and by what we saw until now, they clearly have the potential to do so. The heat will be very intense this weekend providing a tough variable to deal with, and preparation will be an even more fundamental aspect than usual."
