The Italian Formula 4 Championship will be back to Imola for the penultimate round of 2020 season this weekend. The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix venue hosted round 2 in very different conditions last August, so the teams and drivers are expecting to meet new variables.

PREMA Powerteam will enter the event with a five-car lineup. So far, Gabriele Minì has been a consistent scorer. The 15-year-old Italian scored three wins and many podium finishes so far. But while he has a comfortable lead in overall points, the final classification will only count the 16 best race results out of 21, meaning that several other drivers might have a shot at the title. For example, 16-year-old Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto experienced an outstanding middle part of the season with five podium finishes (and one win) in the last six races. Should he continue in the same fashion, he definitely might be in for huge gains.

A consistent points scorer, Swede Dino Beganovic (16) is not far away in points with three podiums and four more top-5 finishes. Sebastian Montoya also made impressive progress recently. The 15-year-old racer has his sights locked on the podium, relying on the experience he already made at the track.

For Imola and the Vallelunga finale, PREMA Powerteam will be rejoined by 15-year-old Russian Kirill Smal. Coming from a top-10 in Mugello, and from positive runs in the ADAC German Championship, he is looking forward to fulfilling his potential to get solid results again.

"Lining-up at Imola, we are aware that this championship has a lot yet to say. We are delighted for the progress made by all our drivers, and while we are in the best possible position at the top of the championship, we know that we have no other option than keep working. This track already hosted Italian F4 this year and with two test days in the last seven days, we expect close competition. Hopefully, our drivers will make the most out of their track time and put themselves in the best position for the series finale."
