All in 15 days. The 2012 Formula ACI-CSAI Abarth season will crown its 2012 champion between Vallelunga, with the Rome-bound circuit hosting the series this weekend, and Monza, where the championship's grand finale will take place on September the 30th. Prema Powerteam will be fielding three FPT-powered Tatuus racecars for Bruno Bonifacio, the Italian Championship's leader, Luca Ghiotto, who is currently on top in the European Series standings and the returning Giorgio Roda.

The challenge will also be within the team as Ghiotto is trailing his team-mate by 5 points in the Italian Championship and the same goes for Bonifacio in the European Series. "We have to watch out - said Team Principal Angelo Rosin - because Nicolas Costa is not far away from our drivers in the European and it's better to keep absolute concentration to avoid favouring him with an in-house battle. Ghiotto and Bonifacio will have to stay alert. We developed their talent over a long time and we're now particularly proud of seeing them run for the top spot. Let’s not forget Roda, who is more than ever willing to achieve an important result after missing Imola."

The Vallelunga weekend of the series will take-off tomorrow, with the running of a 4-hour collective test. A single practice session will be held on Friday at 13:50, while the two polesitters of the weekend will be decided on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM. Race 1 will take-off on Saturday at 14:10 and will benefit from live TV broadcast in Italy on RAI Sport 2 and on www.acisportitalia.it. The longer Race 2 will start at 9:00 AM on Sunday and will be covered again live by RAI Sport 2 and on the Internet. The weekend's sprint run will be taking-off at 15:00, with live Internet coverage and a tape-delayed telecast on Rai Sport 2 at 17:00. The same network will rerun Race 2 on Monday at 21:25.
