In the penultimate round of the 2012 FIA F3 European Championship at Valencia, Prema Powerteam enjoyed some early celebrations by bringing home the series' teams championship. Lined-up on the permanent Ricardo Tormo racetrack, the Italian squad also sealed the deal in the FIA driver's competition as only their drivers, Daniel Juncadella and Raffaele Marciello, are still in contention.

The 2012 season has so far reflected the success achieved last year. Juncadella is leading both the FIA and the Euro Series, and he raced cleverly in front of his home crowd. After clocking the pole, he ended up the races respectively in second, seventh and again second. Nonetheless, Prema also scored double 1-2 finishes. In race 1 Marciello started from the pole thanks to his fastest second best laptime. The Ferrari Driver Academy man and cruised to a great win. In the same race, and despite an early contact, Sven Muller took 7th in front of Michael Lewis.

In the Sprint Race, the American took advantage from the reverse grid from the race 1 results and led from start to finish to score his maiden international victory followed by Muller. As said, Juncadella finished in 7th, while Marciello retired after damaging a suspension on a kerb. 

In the Main Race, Juncadella took 2nd in front of Marciello while Lewis ended up in 8th and Muller in 13th.

"For us it's been a great sigh of relief - explained Team Manager René Rosin. - we scored our first title of the season and it rewards the efforts of the Prema stable, engine manufacturer Mercedes and our drivers, who scored points in every round of 2012. We will line-up at Hockenheim looking forward to know who, between Juncadella and Marciello, will be able to win the FIA F3 European Championship. In the Euro Series, Wehrlein has made it between Daniel and Raffaele. The round at Valencia also brought to top for the first time Lewis, while Muller hit second place in Race 2. We couldn't have asked for more".
