Prema Powerteam is proud to announce the agreement reached with Italian racer Antonio Fuoco, part of the Ferrari Driving Academy, for the 2013 F.Renault ALPS championship. A native of Cosenza (May 20, 1996), Antonio started his kart racing career at just four years of age, winning his first international  honors in 2007 in the 60 mini category.
In 2009, Fuoco moved to the KF3 class and ended up the Italian championship in 3rd before improving to the runner-up spot during the following season. In late 2011, Antonio won the first CSAI super-course, organised together with FDA, and was awarded several Formula Abarth tests.

The great results scored in KF2 (he ended up the WSK Euroseries in third) and the progress showed behind the wheel of the Formula Abarth car enabled him to become part of the Ferrari Academy, and to make his debut in motor racing with Prema. He will be joining the already-announced Bruno Bonifacio e Luca Ghiotto.

Angelo Rosin - Team Principal

"We are extremely proud to have been chosen by Ferrari to develop the skills of Antonio, an extremely interesting and quick Italian driver as we had the chance to prove in winter testing. He's a very young guy, making his debut in open-wheel racing, so the 2013 season will be a learning one for him. On the other hand, the F.Renault 2.0 is the best possible championship for a young driver to challenge with the best prospects in international motorsports".

Antonio Fuoco

"After the emotion of been chosen by the Ferrari Driver Academy, it's a great satisfaction for me to debut in motor racing with one of the most successful Italian-based teams on the European scene. Now I have to keep training in order to reward the people who believe in me - starting from my family - with good on-track performances."
