Prema Powerteam continued to dominate in the F.Renault 2.0 ALPS series at Mugello. In the penultimate round of the 2013 series, Angelo Rosin and his team cruised to one pole and two wins, and they still have not been beaten yet. After having scored the best lap of the day in qualifying, Antonio Fuoco scored two authoritative wins in the races, beating Nyck De Vries in both occasions. The young racer from Cosenza, who's part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, was unable to celebrate an early title for just one point and will now have to try and accomplish the feature in the closing round at Imola on October 5-6th.
The only driver still in the challenge is Prema's Luca Ghiotto. The Vicenza-based man, who ended up second in his qualifying group, scored a good third place in Race 1 before rounding out the top-5 in Race 2. Bruno Bonifacio, a key player this season, suffered from a tough weekend as he finished in 10th and 7th in the two races, ending up outside the championship's chase.
Angelo Rosin – Team Principal
“Fuoco brought more important pieces to our championship-winning puzzle, but I have to admit that we haven't been deciding as in other occasions. Ghiotto scored only one podium, Bonifacio stayed far away from the front and that did not make me fully satisfied. I feel a little sad for Bruno who ended up outside the final fight for the championship, and also for Luca who deserved more, while once again Antonio showed his constant and impressive growth".
