The 2019 Formula Regional European championship ended with a bang for PREMA Powerteam at Monza. The Italian squad posted one win and multiple podium finishes at the famed Italian venue as its drivers tamed the tricky weather conditions to finish off the year in style.

Danish racer Frederik Vesti eventually posted his 13th win of the season in race 3 after cruising to three front rows in qualifying. After delivering two solid runs in the two opening heats, he made an outstanding start in the final one and never looked back.

On the other hand, Brazilian Enzo Fittipaldi did a great job turning around a tough weekend start. After suffering from two issues in qualifying and race 1, the Ferrari Driver Academy man posted P4 overall in race 2, securing the runner-up spot in the series. Then he laid down record lap after record lap to secure P2 in race 3.

British racer Olli Caldwell rounded out the season with a rookie podium and with solid points in a performance highlighted by a top-5 finish in race 3.

"We have been really strong this year in qualifying and the races and we won 13 of them which is a great accomplishment. I want to thank Prema for always being very consistent and always delivering a very fast car for me. I also want to thank my sponsors as I wouldn't be here without them. In race 1 and 2 we had some issues but then we went for a big change for race 3 and it worked. I'm very happy and pleased with the win in the final race of the season."

"Good end to the season here at Monza driving in the wet with a good finish in race 1 ending on the rookie podium, and solid points in race 2 and 3. It was wet and I enjoyed driving in these conditions. The car felt amazing as we were always fighting for the top. It was definitely a good end for the Formula Regional Championship."

"We had quite some problems at the beginning with a suspension issue in qualifying and a gearbox failure in race 1. In race 2, I was able to close the championship and finish second, and in the last race, I was really fast, lapping around one second faster than anyone else. I showed a strong pace. I knew I would have been strong in these conditions. If I had three more laps I could have caught Vesti but that's racing. I'm really happy, and now onto the next chapter."
