The final round of the 2019 Italian Formula 4 Championship delivered three spectacular races with challenging weather at Monza. The legendary Italian venue put teams and drivers through a difficult test, but PREMA Powerteam managed to bring home solid results again.

At the end of the weekend, 15-year-old Estonian Paul Aron achieved his early goal to become the series’ 2019 Rookie Champion. Scoring a podium finish in race 2, Aron was able to celebrate with one race to go before going head-to-head with teammate Gianluca Petecof for P2 overall in the championship.

In a tense final race of the year, Petecof was involved in an unavoidable incident that put him out of contention, while Aron crossed the finish line second, a result that would have handed him the runner-up spot. After the race, a 5-second penalty demoted Aron to 5th, enough for Petecof to eventually secure second place in points.

On the other hand, the Monza weekend saw Danish racer Oliver Rasmussen end the year on a high note. The 18-year-old driver brought home two podium finishes in P3 which confirmed his excellent growth and, together with a seventh place in race 2, handed him P7 overall in the championship.

Venezuelan Alessandro Famularo did not experience the luckiest of weekends but still posted a points finish in P9 before ending up P13 in race 2 and being involved, without any responsibility, in the contact that took out Petecof in race 3.

"We started the year fighting for the championship, but we came out P2. In the last race, I got taken out and that almost cost me second place too. While we achieved our minimum goal, we expected something more from this season. We will now think over it during the winter and keep going."

# 7 - Paul Aron

"I think this was a super last race to finish the season. I learned a lot this year and I think Prema has done a great job to teach me well. I probably wouldn't have been able to do all of this without them. I think it was a pretty good first year in single-seaters as I managed to fight for P2 in the championship and win the rookie title. I'm really really happy."

# 10 - Oliver Rasmussen

"I'm happy with the last weekend of the season. I think I showed a good pace the whole weekend from the test day, free practice and qualifying to the races in variable conditions. It was a decent way to end the season and I think it shows how much I progressed doing it. I'm very happy with it and I want to say a big thanks to Prema for the season which has been awesome, quite an experience. I hope to be able to drive for this team again in the future. Best of luck to everybody!"

# 11 - Alessandro Famularo

"It has been a pretty difficult race since the test. Race 1 has been positive though, I gained positions and scored good points. In Race 2, I couldn't find the pace and the lines to feel comfortable with the car while in race 3 I couldn't do anything to avoid the accident. It is what it is, the season was ups and downs and I will take away the ups. I'm not satisfied with what I did, but I am with what I improved and there is still a lot to learn."
